
Sleep and respiratory physiologists are healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat patients with lung conditions like asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep disorders such as sleep apnoea. They use specialist equipment to test how well people breathe and help improve quality of life.
As part of your role you will:

Conduct and interpret detailed respiratory and sleep studies

Analyse patient data to support diagnosis and treatment

Help patients sleep better
Entry Requirements

Find an apprenticeship that takes you straight into a job, such as level 2 apprenticeships or level 4 apprenticeships.

A level 6 apprenticeship or degree course requires level 3 qualifications, for example 3 a-levels (including one science subject).

Complete the Scientist Training Programme (you’ll need a 1st or 2:1 in a degree).
