We’re thrilled to announce we’ve been shortlisted in the Partnership Working category at this year’s Institute of Biomedical Science Awards.
After a record number of submissions, the full shortlist for the inaugural Institute of Biomedical Scientists Awards was revealed on 30 April. The Partnership Working award recognises the achievements of organisations from within the biomedical science community working together to achieve identified aims.
We are delighted to have been recognised for our work in supporting pathology staff across the region with their training and development, as well as working in partnership with educational institutions to highlight the role of biomedical scientists in patient care to attract the next generation of the workforce to the NHS. The final winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 28 June.
The IBMS Awards provide a platform for the profession’s finest to showcase their incredible achievements and recognising the people, teams and organisations delivering outstanding work in biomedical science.
Chris Sleight, Chief Officer, Greater Manchester Pathology Network comments, ‘I’m delighted to see us recognised by the IBMS Awards. It is a great opportunity to celebrate and promote the work of the Pathology Network and partner trusts for the contribution everyone has played to create a coordinated approach to workforce training, education and job roles. This nomination is a testament to the many colleagues who are working tirelessly across our Greater Manchester pathology community to improve services for our patients and staff and reduce health inequalities.’
Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted in the awards and good luck!
