The Greater Manchester Imaging Network is excited to announce
the appointment of Leighan Beesley as Digital Diagnostics Systems Lead.
With responsibility for the continued operational delivery of the Greater Manchester imaging systems (including PACS and RIS), Leighan will provide technical and subject matter expertise to drive, maintain and optimise all existing imaging systems across the GM region. Leighan will also work with key stakeholders to lead on collaborative operational schemes which have been agreed and adopted across the GM imaging network members.
Leighan brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and started her imaging career as a radiographer at Northampton General Hospital, Leighan has worked at number of other NHS Trusts as a radiographer, worked in the United Arab Emirates, in the private sector as an application specialist and has worked at Pennine Acute Trust as a Radiology Systems Manager. Most recently, Leighan worked at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust as Radiology and IT Performance Manager where the team implemented Sectra PACS throughout the radiology and breast imaging unit. They also rolled out PACS based reporting and cross-platform imaging sharing across the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Sleight, Chief Officer of the Imaging network said: “I am delighted Leighan has joined us as Digital Diagnostics Systems Lead. Leighan’s strong knowledge and experience in diagnostics systems will be vital as we work to a common goal and continue our ambitious plans to develop the imaging network. We welcome Leighan on board and wish her every success in her new role.”
Leighan Beesley added: “I’m excited to be joining the programme team for the imaging network. I’m hoping to bring my knowledge and experience to support the business as usual processes moving forward and to realise the benefits from our GM Enterprise Imaging Solution.”
