On Friday 29th September, the GM Imaging and Pathology Networks hosted a Macmillan Coffee morning for teams based at Whitney Court in Oldham, raising a total of £234.91 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
It was a huge turnout with home baked goodies such as Victoria Sponge, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Parmesan Biscuits and Flapjacks all going down a treat. There was also a bake-off style competition, with prizes for Best Look, Best Taste, Best Effort and Star Baker. Elaine Quick, Leighan Beesley and Andy McAllister picked up the prizes from the Greater Manchester Imaging and Pathology Networks.
Chris Sleight, Chief Officer, Greater Manchester Imaging and Pathology Networks said, ‘It was a fantastic morning and great to bring the whole building together for such a worthy cause. The homemade goodies were a real treat and we raised a respectable amount for Macmillan Cancer Support.
"The money raised through our coffee morning will support Macmillan’s vital work by helping fund their amazing Macmillan nurses, answer calls on their support lines and provide financial support, and more to the families that need it.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning is an annual event held by Macmillan Cancer Support to raise funds for people and families living with cancer. One in two of us will face cancer, and the money raised at the Coffee Morning helps everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can.
