The Greater Manchester Imaging Network has achieved the highest maturity level—'Thriving'—in the latest network maturity assessment, one of only two networks to do so within the timeframe.GM Imaging Network - Thriving status (1).jpg

This indicates a successful and well-established system, meaning the network is functioning effectively, delivering high-quality patient care and meeting its strategic goals.

Measured against a national framework with four domains, the Greater Manchester Imaging Network has successfully met the criteria within each domain that indicates the thriving status. These are Operational Governance, IT and Digital, Workforce and Capital Planning and Equipment.

By achieving the thriving status, the Greater Manchester Imaging Network is recognised as fully established with implementation of network-wide plans and where applicable, realisation of benefits, further innovation and improvement is underway.

Catherine Walsh, Associate Programme Director for the Greater Manchester Imaging Network said, ‘Achieving thriving status is a testament to the unwavering dedication, collaboration, and innovation across our entire network. It reflects not only the strength of our partnerships but also our shared commitment to delivering meaningful, sustainable impact for the patients of Greater Manchester. Achieving this milestone inspires us to continue leading with passion and innovation.’
